OK, so we have:
Keeve - blind monk of Ilmater, lost his sight, his wife, what's next?
Kuhal - Captain Fflar of Myth Drannor reincarnated, once again serving as Shaundakul's champion
My NPC - not sure yet, but I do have an idea. Maybe a really old, virtually ageless guy that knew Kuhal in his previous incarnation
Tony - any ideas for a character for you in this campaign? I was thinking that whatever you end up playing, my NPC may be your guy's companion before they hook up with Keeve and Kuhal.

Cool. I am glad you're open to the Captain Fflar thing. When I first brought it up and you said "I knew it," I thought maybe you were against the idea.
I just want to make Kuhal a bit different than my other characters in some ways and I think this transcendental, "split infinities" type of hero is a neat direction to take him. Various incarnations of Shaundakul's Chosen is just too cool to ignore, and the fact that Shaundakul is the god of wanderers and the like fits this sort of wayward, haphazard, and meandering existence we're building for Kuhal.
I also dig that we were able to put our heads together and come up with a "explanation" for Jero's and Hlaarn's psyches jumping bodies, basically due to the forced intervention of Kuhal's own floating psyche.
Excellent. A good start for this new leg of the campaign.

As far as Keeve goes we may have a problem. Looking at the 3.5 monk I get a bonus feat at 1st level and one at 2nd level and one at 6th. The problem is that on the print out it says;
"Bonus feats: At 1st level, a monk may select eather Improved Grapple or Stunning Fist as a bonus feat. At 2nd level, she may select eithre Combat Reflexes or Deflect Arrows as a bonus feat. At 6th level, she may select either Improved Disarm or Improved Trip as a bonus feat."
With the prestige class requirements I need Alertness, Combat Reflexes, and Improved Unarmed Strike. So how am I going to pick up Alertness and Improved Unarmed Strike? Monks in 3.5 are unable to be customized. Everything as far as feats go is already set.

You get Improved Unarmed Strike for free at 1st level.
You also get the standard feat at first level, a bonus feat for being human, and the standard feat progression (one every 3 levels) as all characters do.

I'm pretty sure this is the Nimbus of Light feat you would need for that Martyred of Ilmater PrC:
Exalted Feat: Nimbus of Light You are cloaked in a radiant light that marks you as a servant of the purest ideals. Your radiance sheds light as a common lamp: bright light to a radius of 5 feet and shadowy illumination to 10 feet. You can extinguish this radiance at will and reactivate it again as a free action. (+2 circumstance bonus on all diplomacy and Sense Motive checks made while interacting with good creatures).

That nimbus of light is a damn cool feat!

Brett and I seem to have worked out some of Kuhal's previous incarnations. For anyone who's interested, Kuhal has been the Baron of Dread, a rather evil fellow named Olostin who existed back around -350 DR and was responsible for the death of over 30,000 people in the days of Netheril.
The next incarnation is Faerlthann Obarskyr, which is interesting as he was the official first king of the nation of Cormyr, crowned in 26 DR.
Then we have a man simply named Velar, who appeared around 340 DR, and I can't recall his deeds or exploits at the moment so I'll leave that to Brett.
Then around the 700s DR, a warrior by the name of Fflar wielded the sword Foebane and rose to command armies that fought in the Weeping War. He fought a two-day battle against against the forces of Aulmpiter the nycaloth in 714, the Year of Doom. His body was never found after this battle.
The year 1022 DR mentions a mighty ranger by the name of Ulzund Hawkshield, who helped re-establish the Harpers along with the bard-now-turned-god, Finder. Kuhal was this ranger. Little else of Hawkshield is known, however.
He then rose as Khallos Shieldsunder and around 1235 DR, was commander of the militia in Silverymoon. When the city was besieged by orcs called the Black Horde, Warlord Shieldsunder wrested control of the city from the Silvermayor. The city's walls were breached, but the siege was eventually repelled. Warlord Shieldsunder's fate is unknown (actually, we do know it, but that's too cool to leak here).
And now he is the Kuhal you all know so well... or not.

Just wanted to get that on the board for posterity.

I have decided to go with the Peerless Archer class. There are too many little goodies that attract me to it. Here are the names I am kicking around so let me know which one you like best. 1. Janis Erman(pronounced yawnis) 2. Ilarion Ermanis 3. Krispin Armand or Ermanis
Character concept My character served in the Silverymoon military where he met and fell into love with a young elven maid named Shaiya, who served as a hand maiden to the Lady of Silverymoon. Shaiya was sent on an errand to Mithril Hall and was escorted by two Knight Errants; along the way they were ambushed by agents of the Zhentarim, who believed Shaiya possesed important documents, and were killed. When my character heard this news his spirit was crushed and he resigned his post with the military. He wandered for a few months where he met the man that would serve as his mentor and guide, Brett's guy?, and adopted the ways of the Ranger. He was a natural with the bow and dedicated his life to discipline and sacrifice in the name of (Insert God here), but in his heart he held a deep desire to avenge his lost love and punish the Zhentarim for it's acts.

I vote for name #2.
I like the story here. We'll have to come up with some other stuff the two rangers did together in their travels.
I'm still working on hashing out my NPC, but once I get down how much time has past since we last played K&K, we can come up with what these guys have been involved in.

I also cast my vote for name #2. Good stuff, Tone. I am looking forward to this one starting up again. It's fun. It's refreshing. It's da bomb diggity.

One interesting thing about what you came up with is the name of the elven woman, Shaiya, is very close to the FR goddess of woodlands glades and the High Forest, Shiallia.
As far as gods for your character, one that *might* work is Gwaeron Windstorm. Not only does he complement the "wind" motif that I have going with Kuhal in his worship of Shaundakul, this Gwaeron is the god of tracking, interpreting woodland signs, and of the rangers of the north in general. Sounds like it may be a good choice for you.
By the way, will your character be elven?

They are tall like Tolkien's elves. They are not as "in decline" as they once were. Many are actually returning from Evermeet to the mainland.
Gold elves - blonde or black hair, tanned skin , generally considered haughty and aloof, sort of the nobility of the elven race
Moon elves - black, bluish-black hair, some brunettes, pale skin, often tinted with blue, get along more with humans
Wild & wood elves - pretty self-explanatory, slightly different in form and one's from one part of the globe, the other from another
Star elves - came from another planet or something, some new gay thing they introduced in 3e
Drow - duh, only different thing is that they're shorter than the other subraces
There are also half-elves among each of the subraces.
The idea I had was for my ranger to be human and your character to be "the son he never had", but an elf could work cuz this human ranger is very, very old (300-400 yrs. old).

I would say that a Moon Elf would be the way to go. Those Star Elves do sound queer. I want to come up with a story that describes some of his equipment. I was thinking that the bow he carries is one that he crafted under divine inspiration. Perhaps it is made from black yew wood and the bow strings are made from the tail of a griffen. I don't know.
