Hmmm. Lessee.
Started in 999 AD. The three bloodsons (meaning they were born of sexual intercourse with a wamphyri) of Waldemar Ferenczy (also called Ferenzig) left his castle in the Carpathians to seek their own fortune.
They ended up in the steppes south of Kiev in a fortress besieged by an alliance of tribes and mercs. They were in service to Predeslava, wife of a deceased Rus chieftain.
Ultimately the defense of the fortress failed after a battle in which the defenders were victorious but there were many deaths on their side.
They're now sailing down the river with Predeslava and her remaining loyal men through a "haunted" wood, and a couple of Predeslava's men have gone missing. Thinking it may be some of the local Slav primitives that fear and hate the Rus, they instead found something more like themselves ...
That's where we are now.
Characters:
Molric (Joe) - big barbarian guy, has the power of domination and animal empathy, kind of the black sheep of the family cuz of his Nordic heritage
Doru (Kev) - rogueish, two-weapon fighter, one of the twins, both of whom were Waldemar's pride and joy; has the power of the evil eye
Calin (Eric) - the other twin, masquerades as an Orthodox priest, powerful telepath
Joe may have told you that Kev is leaving (next week is his last for a while actually) so the fate of this campaign is kinda up in the air, tho I plan on continuing it at some point, sans Doru, who will remain behind to rule what is left of Predeslava's lands with her as his consort.

Tone, if you wanted in on this campaign, we did discuss some possibilities, one of which entails a character entering the party as a human, but a member of a secret order called the Watchers. Though he is human, this guy is certainly no slouch, and he is a veritable library of Wamphyri lore.
Brett can tell you more. It sounds really intriguing.

That's cool, it may be a little bit (1 hour or so) before the brothers reach the city where I plan on introducing your guy, but you can watch and get a feel for the campaign and your character.
Some ideas I had:
Dunno if you're hip to it, but the whole "Watchers" angle comes from Buffy. I'm basically stealing it and making it my own.
So, you're guy could start out with a Slayer in tow. I don't want to completely give away the secrets of the Watchers n stuff to others on this forum, so I can tell you more in a PM. Check the top of your browser for that.
Basically, the Watcher and Slayer are in the city preparing to head into the "haunted" wood, having heard of wamphyric activity there.
I figured they could run afoul of the brothers before they got to leave the city, and your Slayer could get iced and you get turned.
Oh, and don't worry about the cheesy Buffy stuff, what I've created is way cooler and much darker. Intimately connected to the Wamphyri and their history. I'll relate that to you in the PM.
