Hey mates, I am really enjoying this campaign and I hope you are as well. I know that there are many frustrating moments and that at times it seems like we are flying blind. The truth is that most of the time we are. I have a general notion of where I want the story to go but it is always dictated by the player. I wish we could devote more time to role playing moments but every time we do 3 or 4 different conversations break out. I want you all to enjoy a story that we are all crafting together. I really want to focus on playing the characters and let's keep the jokes to a minimum. I am as guilty as anyone of this. We need to remember that every character in this campaign, pc related, is a major player. We don't want to take importance away from any situation and should treat even the smallest interaction as important. I don't want my campaign to be a joke. Thanks for listening to this.

I agree and I think that the problem is that a lot of people aren't interested in what the other PCs are doing when their PC isn't in the room. Me, on the the other hand, I could be content as a silent observer/bystander for long lengths of time as long as the content was interesting. That's why I didn't mind sending Andrexis and Fenris to do recon, knowing that I wouldn't be doing anything.
Another big issue is the size of the group. I used to be the biggest advocate of large groups but I think we've reached critical mass at this point if we're going to have a serious game where some PCs don't get lost in the shuffle. I don't have a solution (except that we don't get any bigger), but I know that players will eventually come and go as they always do .

People have to be willing to relax and enjoy the game. You don't always have to be doing something and I can say that I enjoy watching the interactions of other players when I am not involved.

I sent a reply to the latest email that basically stated the comments above. I have to agree Shoonvii, I think the group size is the problem. Last time we had a large group we seemed to have many of the same problems. The main difference now is that we have better players. Everyone just needs to remind themselves why we get together,to game. Let's just use the time before and after the gaming session to shoot the shit.
