I'd love to do that. It would be fun to get in to and kind of have a solid structure of all the PCs and NPCs long before we started playing.
Some House wars would be fun. Lotsa espionage, sabotage, backstabbing, doubledealing, good times.

I really think this would be a good campaign for us. It will give us a chance to play treacherous characters without fear.

Do all Drow still have levitation?

Not sure. I know there's two version of drow you can play: high-born and low-born, although I think this really has nothing to do with your characters social rank - more like a genetic thing, and it also allows people to play somewhat exotic races without dealing with ECLs (they have lesser versions of other ECL races also).
Low born have less spell-like abilities, but have no ECL. High-born have an ECL of +2, I think, with all the spell-like abils.
Levitation may be a function of the House insignia which all members of any House wear.
I'll look into all this stuff.

Drow Characters Matron Brashia Brashia is the epitome of calculating evil. Brashia is driven to make her House the dark gem in Lloth's crown. She follows the Spider Queen with absolute loyalty and harbors no tolerance for those who would rebel against her. Brashia looks upon every member of her family as a valuable asset. She treats them with respect and guides them to accomplish her goals. Physically The Matron is an enchanting creature. She is well built with long legs that enhance the curves of her shape. She favors form fitting gowns and robes that accent her shapely body.
Inidil The oldest daughter in the family is also the wickedest. Inidil is a vicious creature that serves her mother and her Dark goddess with fervor and strength. Inidil is charged with directing all interior house affairs. While her mother ponders the outside Inidil protects the inside. Inidil is small in stature but radiates power and confidence. She has angular features and piercing eyes that are alight with malice.
Phyrra Phyrra is always by her mother’s side. She accompanies Brashia on any trip and serves as her aide. She is an extremely intelligent Drow who loves puzzles and riddles. Phyrra harbors a deep affection (sisterly) for her brother Ezzrik. She sees his potential and focuses her energies on keeping him in line. Phyrra is a beautiful female. She is tall with long flowing hair. Her body is lithe yet well built. Phyrra has inviting eyes that seem to lower the defense of those that stare into them.
Phaere Phaere is the youngest of the Dhaazhir daughters and has become a capable minion of the Spider Queen. She is charged with the daily affairs of the Great House Chapel and she follows these duties with measured force. Phaere is consumed with learning all of Lloth’s lore and tolerates no words of criticism against her Dark Queen. Phaere resembles her mother greatly. She is shorter in height but her well-tuned body is perfectly proportioned.
Naethre Naethre serves under Inidil and has absorbed much of her sister’s attitudes. She is cold and short with anyone who is not a member of Lloth’s clergy. Naethre aspires to great things and would love a spot as a mistress at the academy. She will soon petition her mother for such an opportunity. Haunting is the word that best describes Naethre. She shares here sister’s beauty but those who gaze upon her can feel chilled by her cold gaze. She is usually avoided by most.
Erelda Erelda is the “hidden” daughter of Brashia. She is not part of the clergy but serves her mother in a different way. Erelda is a powerful psionicist and is always close by her mother’s side. She cloaks herself in garments that hide her features and face. Very few members of the house have seen her without her veils and they do not speak of it. Erelda is a striking creature. She is tall with long legs and soft features. Her most striking feature is her eyes that are solid black. Erelda keeps her head shaved at all times.
Shar The Weapon Master of House Dhaazhir is a giant of a drow. Shar has held his position for 3 centuries and has fathered most of the Dhaazhir children. He is a cruel and wicked fighter who will do anything to win in combat. Shar wields a glaive in combat that possesses magical abilities. He harbors an extreme hatred for Brezian Dhaazhir and the two have fought on several occasions. Shar is huge. He stands at 6’4 and weighs over 250 pounds. He is solid muscle and he favors keeping his hair cropped short. Shar’s eyes burn with rage and those who have faced his wrath seldom forget those burning coals. Shar has one feature that is seldom asked about. His right arm is made of adamantium and has been magically grafted to his body. Everyone speaks in low tones of how he acquired such a limb…very low tones.
Ezzrik The elder boy of House Dhaazhir is a tortured soul. Ezzrik exists in a world of evil yet he harbors no evil within his heart. He yearns to be free and has on 3 separate occasions fled to the surface. Only the words of his youngest brother have kept him alive and now he bides his time, waiting for another opportunity to escape a world he so despises. Ezzrik’s father was the famed swordsmen Zaknafein Dou’rden and is Drizzt’s half brother. Ezzrik is large standing at a height of 6’2 and weighing 230 pounds. He is a terror in battle; often losing himself to rages that explode from within. He is handsome with short wild hair. His musculature stature and determined stare are usually all he needs to avoid trouble.
Yzzrik The second boy of the house is a bane to all that is good and moral. He is a cold-blooded killer who delights in torture and murder and sees no value in the life of others. He has waged an unceasing war against Ezzrik for the soul of their brother Brezian. Yzzrik is in charge of the vaunted cavalry of house Dhaazhir and spends his days drilling his soldiers with ruthless efficiency. Yzzrik would be handsome if one could get past the absolute evil in is face. His eyes promise pain and his features are set in a perpetual scowl. He is tall like his brother and father standing at 6’0 and weighing 220 pounds. He keeps his hair at a medium length and has several web brands on his body and face.
Brezian Brezian is the youngest of the sons of Dhaazhir and also the most well known. He graduated first in his class at Melee Magthere and his ability in battle is often a topic of discussion. Brezian is a cold edged weapon that is wielded with ruthless efficiency by his mother and while Brezian is not a “good” being he is also not evil. He knows what it takes to exist in this world and he is willing to kill anyone who threatens that existence. Brezian spends his days in constant training and is plotting one last duel with Shar. Brezian is an extremely handsome Drow. He has long white hair that is kept in a neat ponytail. He has the build of an athlete with perfectly honed muscles that move with absolute precision and grace. Brezian stands at 5’6 and weighs 185 pounds. He has green eyes that are flecked with gold.
Vornest Vornest is actually the oldest male member of the house but he is only concerned with the pursuit of magic. Vornest is an intelligent and calculating Drow. He believes that the Drow will only thrive as a race through exploration of the magical arts. Vornest is responsible for the magical defenses of the compound. He cares not for intrigue and devotes himself to study and experiment. Vornest is Brashia’s brother and holds unfailing loyalty to her. Vornest is a noble looking Drow. His features convey the deep intelligence and wisdom that he possesses. He wears flowing robes and keeps his long hair perfectly groomed.
Filraen Filraen is the Captain of the house guard under Ezzrik. He enjoys military matters as well as the study of magic. Filraen organizes patrol schedules and handles the day-to-day operations of the house guard. Filraen wants Dhaazhir’s military to be known and feared in the city and he works hard to accomplish this. Filraen is a handsome drow male. He has an aura of confidence that some find inspiring. He favors clothing that is functional and practical from a combat sense and carries an enchanted crossbow with him.
Sorlyn Known as “The Whisper” Sorlyn serves as the house spy. He delights in the double-dealing world of murder and intelligence. Sorlyn is a methodical being that calculates his every move before it is made. He knows the winding streets of the city by heart and floats through them with little effort. He has his pulse on every tale in every tavern and devotes himself to knowing what in occurring in the city at all times. Sorlyn is thin but honed. He keeps his long hair tied in a tight ponytail and wears dark clothing. He shares the same sharp features as with Inidil. Sorlyn seems to have a permanent sneer on his face.
Quarra Noliss Quarra is an adopted daughter from the City of Ched Nasad. Quarra works alongside of Phaere in the operations and upkeep of the House Chapel. She has become quite dedicated to her adopted mother and constantly strives to impress her. Quarra is tall at 6’0 and slender. She has beautiful chiseled features and her body is toned. She has long white hair that cascades to her hips. Quarra is a noted dancer and her movements have hypnotized many a Drow male.
Nymel Noliss Nymel is another refugee from Ched Nasad. He serves as Vornest’s apprentice and helps him conduct research. Nymel is content with his life as he shares the same passion for magic as Vornest does. Nymel is a small drow standing at 5’3 and weighing 125 pounds. He has a distinctly sharp nose and small sunken eyes.
Vicona Noliss Vicona serves with Sorlyn in gathering information for the house. She is a hedonistic creature who has developed an unhealthy fascination with Brezian. Vicona lives for excitement and pleasure and will stop at nothing to fulfill her desires. Vicona is a sultry drow female. She has an athletic body and her hair is kept at a medium length. Vicona’s eyes sparkle with mischief and dark delight.

Yes, I would like to know who is going to DM the campaign? Also what type of setting are we going to be in? Due to the large amount of evil, we have to build characters that fit. I get the feeling this is not the setting for a paladin of Helm.

I would like to DM it, if it's going to be FR. I don't think I could play in someone else's FR. We could sort of co-DM in a way, in that Tone and I are getting together to map out some NPCs, PCs, and their relationships.
I think the campaign will be very similar to the Waterdeep campaign: intrigue-ridden. Just because everyone will likely be evil, it doesn't mean there can't be lasting friendships, though these friendships may be defined a bit different than your typical surface-dweller's idea of friendship. Your PC will have uses for all the other PCs, and some you will genuinely enjoy the company of, despite the fact that they're evil, cuz after all, so are you.

Can someone post a quick overview of the Drow society?

Matriarchal first and foremost, as most drow cities worship the head of their pantheon, Lolth, the Spider Queen. It is an evil, female dominated society to the extreme in some cases. Virtually any female can beat or kill a male for the smallest transgression. Social status does affect this however. A priestess of the 9th House of Menzoberranzan couldn't beat the weapon master (an exclusively male rank) of House Baenre (Menzoberranzan's 1st House) cuz he looked at her funny. That male belongs to a female in superior standing, and it is her job (or one of her daughters - yes, daughters may beat their fathers for transgressions) to punish him if need be. It's all about status. The drow are mostly evil and they all function within their caste system very well. It is not pure chaos. It's more Lawful Evil than Chaotic. You have friends, yes, but you accept that they will not die for you, nor will they likely take a great risk for you. It must be an acceptable risk, one that should they come out OK, they profit greatly. I did a google search for "drow society": www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/5637/Drowdoctrin.htmlmyth-drannor.net/DlabraddathNet/z-sshamath/DrowIII.htmwww.realms.force9.co.uk/UD/drow/dcult.htmThis one lists ranking within a drow noble Household: www.grey-company.org/Maerdyn/resources/houses.html

Just curious as to when you guys think things occurred (in the FR official timeline) in your old drow campaign. Here are some dates to go by:
1297/The Year of the Singing Skull - "Homeland" begins (First recorded mention of Drizzt Do'Urden). Drizzt born.
1328/Year of the Adder - "Homeland" ends
1338/Year of the Wanderer - "Exile" begins. Drizzt has left Menzoberranzan, lives in the wilds of the Underdark.
1340/Year of the Lion - "Exile" ends, "Sojourn" begins
1347/Year of the Bright Blade - "Sojourn" ends. Drizzt Do'Urden comes to Icewind Dale.
1351/Year of the Crown - "The Crystal Shard" begins. Regis steals Pasha Pook's magical ruby, flees Calimport to Ten Towns. Akar Kessel begins working with the Silver Shard on Kelvin's Cairn.
1356/Year of the Worm - "The Crystal Shard" ends Drizzt Do'Urden and Wulfgar kill Icingdeath (Eleasias). Battle of Icewind Dale (Eleasias). "Streams of Silver" "The Halfling's Gem" begins
1357/Year of the Prince - "The Halfling's Gem" ends. "The Legacy" "Starless Night" Lady Alustriel forges an alliance with Bruenor Battlehammer of Mithril Hall and helps defend the dwarf halls against the Baenre drow clan.
1358/Year of Shadows - The Time of Troubles, gods walk the earth. The drow of Menzoberranzan raid Mithril Hall.
1372/Year of Wild Magic - Present Day
So you can see, this spans Drizzt's life, 75 years. Just thought this might give us some idea as to when what happened in the old campaign, and what the state of affairs might be now.

I would say that our tale ended at the beginning of The Hafling's Gem.

OK. So if Eric wanted to make his character a younger brother, that wouldn't be a problem? Seems like it would be OK, since if I remember correctly, one of your guys' characters was in Drizzt's class at Melee-Magthere right? That would certainly leave room for another kid to be born and be of fighting age by the time we pick this campaign up.
