So the drow campaign began last night and the intrigue is already ramping up. What did you guys think about it? I had fun.
It may take me some sessions to get a "feel" for Wex. I'm not used to playing such a skulker. One of my first impressions is that he and Nix are too similar, since they're both odd looking and have weird voices, so I'll be trying to differentiate Wex from Nix. Man, even their names are similar.
Brezian was cool and I like how he's changed and matured. He's not the same drow from days of yore.
It will be interesting to see how the Yzzrik/Riznafein conflict is resolved.
And Inidil? What a bitch.

It was a great time last night. I really enjoyed eveyone's characters and I don't think that you need to change the way that Wex speaks. Nix is more agressive in his speech so I like that both character types are represented. I think that Eric and Melissa played their characters well and I like them both, but I am also leaning towards challenging Eric because of the information that Wex brought me. It saddens Brezian a great deal to be faced with the options before him and in the end if he is called to be sacrificed then he will accept his fate. In his flawed sense of loyality he would see the alternatives as being equally severe.

Great job by everyone last night guys. I'm glad you all liked it. Seems like everyone was really into their characters, that adds a lot to the experience.

It is a setback that Wex happened to hear Vraeme's remark about desecrating the chapel. Maybe she can lie her way out of it if confronted.

I will start of by saying, I was so into the game I went home and had a dream in which I was a drow. I cant remember that happing before. I did have a good time. Thanks to everyone with your help. Feel free to let me know if I am doing something wrong. I think my lack of drow knowledge hurts me at times. Also I have to say damn Joe, you roll like crap any other time. It is unfortunate that you heard us talking but it does add realism. Also I hope the conflict of Yzzrik/Riznafein comes to a head before Brezian and Riznafein.

If Vraeme and Riznafein can show that they are a better option to have around than Yzzrik -- which shouldn't be too damn hard -- then that could help avoid a Brezian vs. Riznafein type conflict, since Wex will begin speaking (in subtle ways) to Brezian in their favor. He may even, in a not-so-subtle approach and risking his own death, flat out tell Brezian that he feels Riznafein would be a much better elderboy... not that he feels his opinion matters to anyone, but he may feel like Brezian will at least hear his words and take them into consideration.

Joe, you got some good ideals. I would like to also see a bond developed between Vramae and Wex. I think if she begin showing him kindness that would go along way in winning him over.

Well, if Riznafein can see that Brezian uses Wex, and that he gets the hell beat out of him by Yzzrik, it may be worth the gamble for Riz to ask Vraeme to show more "kindness" to Wex. Whether it's genuine or feigned really doesn't matter, as long as Wex perceives Riz and Vraeme to be less of a danger to his health (translation: continued existence) than Yzzrik. The kicker is whether or not Riz can deduce if Brezian really gives a fig about how Wex is treated.

I think even missing the link between Brezian and Wex, Riz and Vraeme may just see Wex as an easy ally.

I think Vramae may have an interest in Wex simply for the fact that he's something strange that she's never seen before and she has an interest in the strange and unusual, i.e. undead, demons, etc.

Melissa should go all freaky with that angle, not just for those two oddballs but for things like that in general. That's a cool affectation for her and something I imagine she'd like to play up.

Well, I am pleased with how this campaign is unraveling. I am slowly learning to play someone more conniving and aggressive then myself. Thanks Mel for all the tips on how to be evil, for some reason you seem to be a natural. I am glad that all the pc's are beginning to come together. Even if it is by force. I have been very impressed with everyone's game play. I think The Dude and Mel have impressed me the most keep it up. I will do my best to raise my role playing to match everyone else. Now lets go destroy that cult.
Dude your avatar for some reason makes it hard to concentrate.

Well, I waited for a week for a replay. Since no one wants to talk to me I will just talk to myself. Won't be the first time.
Hey E, What's up. I agree this campaign is quickly becoming allot of fun. I love the intrigue and ever-changing plot. I think the addition of a new player could add some new angles as well. Mel that mass suggestion rocked! Great combat. Well see ya on Wed. night.

OK, I'll bite. I can't say all I want to say cuz I don't want to give anything away, but I think this campaign is going really well. I know that a few years ago I would have rolled my eyes at the thought of playing a drow campaign, but I now know that with a group of sufficiently mature players that it can be really cool.
P.S. E, I don't think anyone else reads these forums much anymore. I'll post some cool stuff that only you will be privy to since you're so diligently the only one here. Besides me.

I'm here.
I've been impressed with most everyone's role-playing, but last night didn't seem to go into much delving. It seemed a bit like filler to me. No offense to Brett, but aside from visiting the Rook and meeting that swaggering wanker who Vraeme went and screwed, it didn't seem like much got accomplished. I guess after missing a couple of sessions, I was hoping to come back and get more done. I'm sure next session will be quite different. Sometimes you gotta have these filler sessions.
I did enjoy all the laughs, though. RPGs aside, we were all some funny bastids last night. I did enjoy that.
Let me re-emphasize, too, that I'm not criticizing last night's session, so much as lamenting that I didn't get to do more with Wex. No biggie.
