Kythorn
25 - As the companions were leaving Llorbauth, they noticed that Xxiphu, the flying monolith of the aboleth, began to fly east, out of the city. While encamped that night, Nylaathria heard Galleron taling in his sleep in some strange tongue.
28 - The companions made Tibold, returning to the city where they all met. While walking through the plaza, Nylaathria noticed Eroth Sylvar, one of the members of her Tribe, surreptitiously observing them. After informing her that the Tribe had been all but slaughtered by drow, Eroth decided to join the party and continue his search for the remaining members of the Tribe. The companions took rooms at the Dancing Goat.
29 - The companions left Tibold. Near the end of the day, they were ambushed by a small force of goblins, who were chanting "Give us the gem!" in their primitive language.
30 - As the companions drew close to the Tethyrian border, they saw an army encampment set up at the border. Drawing closer, they saw the flag of Tethyr and the banner of the Duke of Suretmarsh. They found out that Llorbauth had been besieged by demons and that the Tethyrians were there to make sure nothing spilled over into their country.
That night, the companions made Riatavin and took rooms at the Roaring Manticore.

1 - The companions left Riatavin. That night, while camping a few miles away from the Gorge of the Fallen Idol, they were beset by a group of hobgoblins led by a young dragon demanding they give it the gem. The monsters were defeated, and Nylaathria narrowly avoided death after jumping off the fleeing dragon's back nearly 100' in the air.
2 - This night at camp, Eroth saw a strange phantom (somewhat angelic in appearance) bent over Galleron's sleeping form, whispering in his ear. After waking him, Eroth proceeded to question the paladin about what had happened. Galleron was dumbstruck.
3 - The companions made Survale Ford.
4 - The companions arrived at Barakmordin and delivered Melial's remains for burial.
5 - Galleron spoke to Great Sword of Torm Tomas Trosbann about what the companions had experienced and the troubles of the region. The companions continued to argue about the fate of the giant ruby in their possession.
6 - The companions passed through Survale Ford, staying the night at the Survale Inn.
8 - The companions passed through Riatavin, spending the night at an inn.
10 - The companions passed through Tibold, staying at an inn.
13 - The companions made it to Llorbauth and saw the city in terrible shape, with devils flying through the smoke-filled skies above the city. The dead were piled outside the city walls, ready for burial. Eventually, the companions were contacted by a vampire named Liam, who told them where to find Lord Ashram, the vampire that had brought this destruction on the city.
14 - The companions tracked down Lord Ashram in his underground lair and slew him, discovering a ladder that led up into the bowels of the palace afterward. They told the Baron of what they had wrought and he thanked them.
15 - Galleron searched with Roule for a place to build his temple to Torm, after the Baron had told him that he could requisition some land for it. Nylaathria went searching for Liam, to no avail.
16 - The companions were confronted by Netherese shades led by one called Naramus, who revealed to them that Moridan was a Netherese "princeling" and son of one of the Princes of Shade - and a worshiper of Shar. The Netherese wanted to know what happened to the giant ruby, but the companions were not forthcoming. Naramus left without a fight, a smile on his face.
The Order of Blue Fire returned to Llorbauth with conquest on its mind, Commander Accordant Vorin and Theodin at its head. Sharn flew through the skies as the Order marched on Klarsamryn (the palace). Everything came to a head in the plaza in front of the palace, as the companions confronted Theodin. Theodin eventually revealed himself as a Cyricist and the battle was joined.
The source of Galleron's strange murmurings was revealed, as he summoned an army of angels to save the city from the sharn. Eventually, Theodin was slain and the Order routed, allowing Galleron to claim his ancestor's sword, Soulmate.

18 - Aftermath of the invasion. Galleron helped the people of Llorbauth clean up while Moridan inspected the dead abominations that took part in the invasion. Arimoth of Torm arrived to oversee construction of the new temple of Torm.
19 - The companions left the city after Nylaathria told them of her dream of Lady Vramae and the town of Golconda.
21 - After two days of travelling through the hills, the companions arrived at the dwarven mining village of Golconda. They talked to the barkeep at the Stone Arm and found that a strange group of elves had taken up residence in one of the abandoned mines.
Traveling to the mine, they found that it was indeed Nylaathria and Eroth's people, who had been fleeing marauding drow seeking Lady Vramae.
Arina, leader of the Cabal, said that they had been summoned to find the blade Nightbringer and return it to Lady Vramae. The blade had last been seen in the hands of Kelma, a warrior woman of the Light of the Sun, a group of warriors dedicated to Amaunator. They had last been seen at Five Spears Hold.
During the conversation, Eroth saw his former traveling companion Alexan in a holding cell. After toying with the young sorcerer for a bit, Eroth had him freed and vouched for him. Eroth invited Alexan to join the companions in their serach for Nightbringer and the sorcerer agreed.
23 - The companions made Five Spears Hold, seat of the barony of Tanistan. They talked to a priestess of Amaunator, who told them that Kelma and her companions had went into the eastern hills weeks ago, hunting Banites of the Cult of Naarash.
While sitting around the dinner table at The Gauntlet, the companions saw a soaking wet elf come in from the storm outside. Galleron and Nylaathria recognized him as Gierin Evangild, their companion from months before. Introductions were made and Gierin said he had been sent by the same silver-haired elf as before to put them back on the path of good after the disaster of Kraus.
24 - The companions set out to find the Cult of Naarash and Nightbringer. At night, they stopped at small town and discovered some of the cultists roughing up some of the locals. They killed the cultists and gained the trust of the villagers, staying the night in a barn and learning information about the cult and the fate of Jaryn and his companions.
25-27- The companions continued traveling through the hills, continuous rain pummeling them and slowing their progress. They continued collecting information from small villages along the way, searching for the hidden Black March trail that would lead them to the hidden temple of the Banites.
28 - The companions came to the village of Erstlin and met the village elder, Auldwyl. While staying in his house, the companions were attacked by hobgoblins and bugbears of the Cult of Naarash. After dispatching the creatures, the companions were greeted by the other members of the village and one villager named Shandra claimed to know the way to the Black March.
29 - In the middle of the night, Jaryn, the paladin of Amaunator the companions were looking for, wandered into their camp looking lost and unkempt. After a few moments, however, he drew a short sword from under his cloak and attacked Gierin. Very soon, a fight broke out, with the companions attempting to subdue the enraged paladin. They soon found that the paladin was actually a doppleganger, and that there were four of them - all wearing Jaryn's form. Three were dispatched and one fled into the forest.
30 - The companions found the hidden Black March trail using their map.
Midsummer (Holiday) - The companions continued traveling along the Black March, avoiding large patrols of Banite hobgoblins.
Eleasias
1 - The companions continued traveling along the Black March, avoiding large patrols of Banite hobgoblins.
2 - The companions were attacked by shadowy hounds that burst out of the surrounding forest, but were able to beat them back.
3 - The companions made the citadel of Adakmi, home to the semi-nomadic horsemen, the Shadi'ar Sala-min, also known as the Lions. These humans were opposing the Banites, hanging any they found from their citadel's walls as a warning. They let the companions in, providing them with a place to rest and recuperate. A Lion named Glasur contacted Alexan and offered to take them north on the river in his boat, claiming that if they took the road they would be cut down by a patrol in hours.
4-5 - The companions took Glasur's boat, a ship called Blacksnake pulled by giant pike, up the river.
6 - The companions came upon a burning village besieged by Banites. After witnessing the murder of one of the villagers, the scouts they sent ahead, Eroth and Moridan, lured the Banites into the surrounding woods. Eventually, Nylaathria and Alexan responded to the sounds of battle and helped defeat the Banites. The remaining villagers stated that they would relocate to Adakmi, escorted by Galleron and Gierin.
That night, as the companions slept by the riverbank, Dajani the tiefling, a companion of Jeryn's, attacked the companions invisibly. After a long battle, Dajani was slain by a hail of arrows from Eroth. Examining his belongings, Nylaathria found his journal , which stated that he had left his old life behind for the "new order."
7 - The companions were dropped off by Glasur and completed the remainder of the journey on foot. They spied the Pillars of Night from a distance and Nylaathria, Alexan, and Moridan decided to infiltrate the cult compound in disguise.
They slew a family of cultists on the outskirts of the village and took their tunics. Once in the village proper, they demonstrated their abilities with sword and spell. Moridan became one of the wardens (guards and enforcers) and Nylaathria and Alexan disguised themselves as acolytes of the clergy.
8 - The companions continued to ingratiate themselves into the Banite cult.
9 - Nylaathria and Alexan were given access to the inner temple of Naarash to become members of a death squad, having proven themselves by giving sermons to the Banite faithful. Just as they were entering the temple, the last doppleganger returned from the wilds and exposed them as "heathens." As the whole town mobilized against them, Moridan sprang from hiding and ran into the temple with them.
Unexpectedly, the cult sealed the temple with the companions inside. Exploring the temple, they found that it was once home to an ancient race of giants. After making their way past many guardians, they came face to face with Jaryn, the fallen paladin of Amaunator and the wielder of Nightbringer as he stood before the huge crimson gem called the Eye of Naarash.
After a bit of discussion, Nylaathria found that Jaryn had no attachment to Nightbringer and convinced him to hand over the blade. The companions then attacked and eventually slew the fallen paladin.
As soon as Jaryn fell, Naarash itself manifested out of the Eye, taking the form of a great bar-lgura demon. It offered the mantle of Voice of Naarash to any of the companions, which they refused. After seeing Nylaathria and Moridan nearly slain by the demon, Alexan made the choice to help the demon and take up the mantle of Voice of Naarash. He took part in the ritual and became the Voice. Naarash ripped Jaryn's head off his corpse and gave it to Alexan, telling him to present it to the cult as proof of his ascendancy, and merged back into the Eye. Alexan made sure that Nylaathria and Moridan were alright and went out to speak to the cult.
Hours later, Moridan awoke and he and Nylaathria discovered a secret door that led to a trail high above the cult compound, providing an escape route. They made their way back to the Blacksnake and rejoined with Eroth.
14 - The companions returned to the Lion citadel of Adakmi.
25 - The companions returned to Five Spears Hold.
27 - The companions returned to the dwarven town of Golconda, finding the inhabitants slaughtered. Looking around, Eroth discovered drow corpses among the dead, and found some survivors holed up in a building.
After convincing the dwarves to let him in, he saw that there were very few dwarves left. After talking about the situation, Donvan (the mayor of Golconda) instructed one dwarf called Uther to escort Eroth and his companions to the mine where the elven Cabal was hiding.
The companions made their way to the mine and found the elves there slain or fled. Eroth discovered his mother's corpse among the dead. The companions discovered that the elves had fled deeper into the mine, collapsing the tunnel behind them. Uther suggested that they investigate the Underoad, an ancient underground highway through the mountains that connected Golconda to Tibold.
After sealing the mine, the companions made their way to the gates of the Underoad and found them blasted open from within. Investigating, they found themselves under attack by a squad of drow. During the fight, they were observed by a lone drow wielding a strange crossbow and one arm clad in leather.
After defeating the drow squad, the companions ventured deeper into the earth. After traveling for half an hour, they heard a clacking sound echoing through the deep. Uther warned the companions to be wary of hook horrors.
Soon enough, they came upon an arch spanning the Underoad. A drow wizard appeared on the arch and a pair of hook horrors came clambering from behind it. In the midst of the battle, the drow wizard summoned an umber hulk. After a hard-fought battle that saw Uther and Eroth knocked out of the fight, the drow wizard disappeared, taking the umber hulk with him.
28 - After resting, the companions ventured further along the Underoad. After some time, they discovered a huge crack in the northern wall of the tunnel which led deeper into the earth. Investigating, they found that it eventually intersected with an old dwarven tunnel.
Following this tunnel, they eventually found that it opened up into a dwarf-wrought chamber illuminated by a cloud of clue fire. In the middle of this chamber, a lone human fought against a horde of undead. The companions helped this man vanquish the undead and discovered that he was Brandon, the last survivor of an adventuring company exploring the tunnels in search of dwarven treasure. His companions had been slain by a purple worm and he had wandered the Underdark for days. The companions invited him to join them and he accepted.
The companions then took one of the tunnels leading out of the chamber. This tunnel led eventually to a chamber that appeared to once be a dwarven camp, with the remains of fallen stone structures littering the landscape. After venturing within, the companions saw undead boneclaws standing over the corpses of drow that they had obviously just slain. More undead poured out of the adjoining structures and the battle was on.
The battle was almost a stalemate, when suddenly the boneclaws seemed to alight with clarity. They both bowed to Nylaathria and Eroth and broke apart. The other undead, the skeletons of various creatures, followed suit.
As they were preparing to explore the passage leading out of the chamber, a gigantic spider descended from the ceiling and grabbed Nylaathria, binding her in webs and scuttling from the chamber.
The remaining companions gave chase and came to a web-shrouded chamber. Against the judgment of the other companions, Eroth set fire to the webs, which set off a chain reaction and collapsed the chamber.
After spending two hours digging the chamber out, they were able to clear a path through the rubble. As they explored the corridor beyond, they were attacked by a trio of man-sized black widow spiders, which they were able to dispatch.
Eventually, they made their way to a pitted chamber crossed by an ancient, crumbling bridge. Webs spanned the lower part of the chamber and the companions saw Nylaathria bound in webs at the other end of the bridge, the gigantic spider and a drow arachnomancer holding Nightbringer between them. After a long battle, the drow was killed and the spider was routed. They freed Nylaathria and retrieved Nightbringer.
29 - After giving Nylaathria time to recover, the companions set out once again. After passing a series of old mine tunnels, they eventually discovered that the passage opened up into a larger ruined dwarven settlement with more pockets of blue fire.
Within, they found the remains of a battle, with a group of undead in pieces around the chamber. Amongst the dead, Eroth and Nylaathria discovered a member of the Cabal, Ferret. He looked as if he had been transformed into a wight before he was slain. The companions discovered a main passage leading out of the chamber.
Later, they came to a bridge spanning a great chasm. On the other side of the bridge, foour heavily-armored drow stood guard. Nylaathria attempted to parley with the obvious leader of the quartet, discovering that (unlike the previous drow they had met) understood the Common tongue. He told the companions that they had come to slay Vramae.
Soon after, the battle was joined. The battle saw three of the drow slain, and Brandon was knocked off the bridge by their leader - landing in ghoul-infested stagnant water below. Eventually, a drow priestess appeared next to the leader of the drow guards. Calling him "Brezian," she got into some sort of disagreement with him. Grabbing him, she teleported them both away.
Just beyond the bridge, the companions discovered a large chamber that appeared to be the center of the ancient dwarven kingdom. They were in a smaller entry chamber that appeared to be an ancient bazaar of sorts.
Traversing the chamber, they were soon quietly hailed by a small group of wood elves hiding among the ruins. It was small group of survivors from the Cabal, led by a warlock named Seren. Seren blamed Nylaathria for the Cabal's troubles, telling her that Nylaathria's father led some Tethyrians to the Cabal's grove a mere week before the drow attack, weakening them. She therefore demanded Nightbringer, stating that it was her right to turn the sword over to Vramae.
After slaying the elves, the companions ventured further into the ancient ruined dwarven city. They fan afoul of some drow and a quartet of war trolls, but managed to avoid the patrol.
Later, they fought some drow in a hard-fought battle in a mushroom grove before taking a rest.
30 - After resting, the companions followed the urging of Nightbringer to the second tier of the ruins. They discovered some drow and war trolls guarding the entrance to a large ruin that Nightbringer urged Nylaathria towards.
After getting past the guards, the companions found Vramae and the Cabal (including Eroth's father) surrounded by drow in a standoff battle. The companions fought their way towards Vramae and Nylaathria threw Nightbringer to her. Upon taking the blade, Vramae transformed into her true self - a tattooed drow - and a nightwalker appeared at her behest to help them. Seren and her Guardians also joined in the fray, having been raised as wights by Vramae's power.
The battle eventually got down to a showdown between the drow called Brezian and the other leaders of the drow and Vramae, the companions and the remaining members of the Cabal. Just as Brezian was beginning to break through Vramae's defenses, the drow with the leather-clad arm appeared beside him and shot him in the neck with a poison dart. After sharing a look with Vramae, the drow vanished into shadow, Brezian in tow. The rest of the drow fled as well.
After the battle, Vramae dissappeared, returning to the Shadowfell. Seren shared words with Arina, the leader of the Cabal, telling her about how the companions slaughtered her and other members of the Cabal for having defied Nylaathria. Eroth placed himself in the power of the Cabal for judgment, but Nylaathria refused. Therefore, she was exiled form the Cabal indefinitely, while Eroth was only exiled for one year. Despite their crimes, Arina refused to leave them in the Underdark and offered to take them to the surface, which they accedpted.
The elder of the Cabal, Thora, cast a spell that took everyone to the surface, just outside the dwarven village of Golconda. After saying their goodbyes, the companions walked towards the village.
Along the way, they noticed a large camp to the east of town. In the village, they found some mercenary ruffians vandalizing the one shop in town, Torobrom's Wares. After running the mercs off, the companions ended up at the Stone Arm Inn and Tavern.
Within, they found Nylaathria's grandfather, Ortolagus, whom both Brandon and Moridan vaguely recognized. After speaking with him, they discovered that it was he that had brought most of them to Erlkazar, to try and save the country. He berated Nylaathria and Moridan for their dabblings in the dark arts and lamented that perhaps he had made the wrong choice in trying to weave their destinies.
Also in the tavern was a strange old wizard named Orin and his owl familiar. Moridan and Nylaathria struck up a conversation with the strange wizard.
Soon enough, the companions were called outside by some other members of the mercenary company whose members they had defied earlier. Nylaathria managed to get them to part bloodlessly.
Much later, a proselytizing priest of Bane and his companions rode into town, promising peace and order if the town would accept the rule of the Voice of Naarash. Nylaathria got into a shouting match with the priest, which ultimately resulted in a melee that saw the death of all but one of the Banites, a flameskull that simply flew away.
Right after the battle, Moridan's father, Prince Lamorak of Netheril, strode into town with some shade guards. He revealed "Moridan" to be a doppleganger, that he had been for some time. Instead of slaying the thing, Lamorak took it with him back to Netheril. The doppleganger muttered an apology to the companions before it left.

Eleint
1 - Refugees from Five Spears Hold began arriving in Golconda. Mayor Stonecarver and Purdun, leader of the Talons, began making preparations to defend the village.
Later, a rune-etched man named Sorlyn brought news to the town that Five Spears Hold was overrun. He also told Ortolagus (Nylaathria's grandfather) of a group of Banites sent to the High Peaks in search of an artifact called the Living Gem. Orin knew something of the artifact and shared what he knew with the companions. The decision was immediately made to quest after the artifact to keep it from falling into Alexan's hands. Ortolagus told them that the Gem was said to lie in the lair of the great dragon Sitholontor and that Sorlyn had a map and that one of the Talons, the Calishite Chiran, was going as well.
2 - The armies of Shalanar and Ahlarkhem arrived from the north. Instead of defending the village, they sent an emissary to demand its surrender. Barons Callidan and H'Krabil had thrown in with the Banites. Mayor Stonecarver brusquely refused, throwing a hammer at the emissary.
As the village prepared to fight, the companions prepared to flee. Just as they were riding out, Mayor Stonecarver beseeched them to get the women, children and infirm to safety in the Deepdelver Mine to the east. Since it was on the way to the High Peaks, the companions agreed.
As they were riding out, they heard the horns sound and the battle joined at Golconda. Soon thereafter, they were attacked by a knight from the army and a trio of rangers. The men were easily dispatched, but they managed to kill five of the companions' wards before being slain. The companions got the dwarves to safety and set out for the High Peaks amid pouring rain.
3 - The companions ran afoul of the Shieldbreaker clan of ogres from Rivenshield. Thankfully, the ogres' reputation of being honorable and far more trustworthy than their brutish cousins turned out to still hold true. Information was peacefully exchanged and the ogres even invited the companions to their village to trade, which the companions turned down.
4 - Advancing into the High Peaks, the companions were attacked by galeb duhr. During the battle, a pair of manticores was attracted by the sound of combat and attacked. All were driven off or slain. That night at camp, a monstrous bulette attacked during Nylaathria's watch. After a tumultuous melee, it too was driven off.
5 - The companions followed the map to the dragon's lair and discovered and ancient mining settlement suspended over a large vertical shaft. Hukuro, Orin's owl familiar, soared over the settlement and saw that it was inhabited by strangely deformed duergar wearing a blue dragon head symbol on their shields and armor. The companions drew up a plan to lure the duergar and Banites into a battle by planting false attack plans in the duergars' midst.
6 - The companions attacked the duergar village, shouting oaths to Bane and eventually fleeing and leaving their false Banite attack plans behind.
7 - The companions hid in the outlying peaks around the village, watching and waiting for the Banites to arrive. They saw the duergar preparing for an attack and repairing the damage done in the attack the day before, but little else.
8 - Assuming that the Banites were not coming, the companions decided to infiltrate the duergar settlement. Sorlyn and Chiran set a fire on one side of the village and ran back to the group. Uther used his magic ring to allow the group to descend to the bottom of the shaft. On the way down, they were attacked by a group of duergar ascending the shaft on one of the lifts on the side of the chasm.
Reaching the bottom, they trapped the duergar on the lift by killing the duergar manning the crank and placing a handaxe in the gears. They now stood at the mouth of a massive tunnel leading into the mountain.
Advancing within, the companions saw crumbling stone and wood structures to either side of them. Duergar women and children ran screaming or hid from them in their wake. A group of duergar combatants tried to halt the companions' advance, but they were routed in spectacular fashion, with Orin and Nylaathria both knocking out the remaining two deep dwarves with their bare fists.
Advancing toward's Sitholontor's lair, the companions came upon the last of the degenerated duergars' meager defenses. Though the deep dwarves put up a good fight, they were eventually all put down.
The dragon's lair was just beyond. Advancing within, the companions saw the mighty blue dragon sitting atop his glimmering hoard, transfixed by the images playing within a huge ruby hovering in front of his eyes: the Living Gem.
The companions began to sneak into the chamber when they saw a similarly-sized group of Banites sneaking in from the other side. Nylaathria drew the dragon's attention to the Banites and the three-sided battle was joined.
Nearly right off the bat, the wizard Orin seized the Living Gem in the midst of the tumult. Before he could be fully entranced by the artifact, Nylaathria seized it away while the dragon raged.
While Brandon fought off Banites and seized some of his family's missing artifacts from the hoard, Uther caught the attention of Sitholontor. Orin was eventually able to regain the Living Gem and access its considerable power, casting mighty spells well beyond him and enabling the companions to escape the dragon's lair.
That night, Orin communed with the Living Gem, using it to scry on Alexan. Alexan, in turn, noticed his scrying, but not before Orin could discern that the Banites' interest lay west.
9 - The companions were intercepted by Shieldbreaker ogres and invited to their town, Rivenshield. The companions accepted and negotiated with the ogres' chieftain to get them in the fight. The chieftain agreed, saying that the Shieldbreakers would strike north into Ahlarkhem.
10 - The companions left Rivenshield.
11 - Traveling east, the companions were attacked by undead both night and day. The decided to ravel during the night to be better prepared to deal with vampires.
12 - The companions stayed in their camp all day, waiting for night to come so they could travel, fighting off another wave of vile blasphemes in the process. While traveling that night, they were attacked by Lord Tenmiir the Cursed, the Night Baron of Ahlarkhem. The former paladin of Tyr (and unwilling vampire) was slain after he dismissed his host.
13 - The companions came upon a village destroyed by vampires. After being attacked by a vampirized child, they put the village to the torch.
14 - The companions came upon a village destroyed by Banites. At this point, they decided to force march to Tibold to warn the dwarves. Reaching Tibold late at night, they found the city marshaling for war. Mercenaries and Tethyrian forces were everywhere and the city was packed.
They eventually got an audience with the Baroness, telling her they had the Living Gem, but unwilling to part with it. They told her they wanted to forge an alliance between the dwarves of Carrelath Barony and the Barony of Impresk to the north. Uther found that his cousin Uldred and his Knights of the Crescent Moon had also arrived in Tibold. The companions were given rooms in Twin Axes Keep until a decision could be reached.
15 - The companions decided to rotate ownership of the Living Gem so that no one person could decide its fate. That night, Nylaathria received her turn with the artifact and turned it over to her warlock patron, Vramae. In return, Vramae gave her an army of wraiths and spectres of all sorts to allow her to claim Erlkazar as her own.
The remaining companions were caught in the middle of the chaos and witnessed Nylaathria's betrayal. They did what they could but were eventually routed by the sheer number of undead. After they had retreated to the steps of the Keep, Nylaathria came out before the assembled forces of Tibold, giving them an ultimatum: kneel before her (and help her destroy the vampires and Banites) or die. The dwarves, of course, were defiant and so she unleashed her undead on the city.
